Medical Director, Urgent Care, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kelly Coughlin joined our team in July of 2023 and is the Medical Director of our brand new Urgent Care practice. Kelly is getting the practice up and running, ensuring the right staff members are in place and that the latest industry standards in emergency medicine are being adhered to.
Kelly grew up in Middletown, New Jersey and has always had a life-long love of animals. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cook College, Rutgers University in 2005 and worked at Schering-Plough and Merck in clinical trial management prior to starting her career as a veterinarian.
She attended St. Georges University on the beautiful island of Grenada and graduated in 2015. She then completed a rotating Internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists where she continued on as an Emergency Doctor for 3 years. After that, Kelly worked over at Westfield Veterinary Group now she's here! Prior to Vet School Kelly worked as a Veterinary Technician for a number of years so she has a wealth of experience in the field, specifically in Emergency Medicine. Kelly is most passionate about helping dogs and cats and their owners in times of need and has a special interest in toxicities and trauma.
When Kelly isn't at work she enjoys traveling, going to the beach and reading.
